Our Summer Course of 2017

Blog

Frankly, you can’t miss out on next Summer. A couple of weeks ago we returned from our Summer Course 2017, and it really has been an authentic Ireland Experience.

I cannot show you each and every second of the Summer course, but I don’t want to stop showing you some of the moments experienced by our children these days, and of everything that we have enjoyed and learned together with our “Host families ”.

Our group was made up of children ranging from 10 to 17 years old, and, as you know, I personally picked them up and accompanied them during the flights and subsequent placement in each of their families.

We have spent some time in Schull, a wonderful town of about 600 inhabitants, where there are few Spaniards, making the linguistic immersion is almost complete. A place, in addition to being charming, which is very safe for young children, and where the kids are able to enjoy the town without risks and with a lot of fun.

The school our children attended during their stay is 100 meters from the sea! Yes, you read it. A true delight.

The classes ran from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but from 1:30 p.m., the more practical classes became the most fun way to learn English: surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, excursions, …

The children carried out a weekly newspaper where they could develop their language skills, public presentations, outings with the teachers, and various other activities to develop their language skills to the max in a fun and effective way.

The families have been very welcoming. Some of our students even lived on farms.

On Saturdays and Sundays we went on trips and outings of the students’ choice. Here you have a link to our visit to the “Local Market”.

Fish and chips, seafood and lobster have been some of the most common and typical meals during these days. And very enjoyed, I imagine.

What do you think? The experience has been fantastic. And the children have all been true champions. Despite the age differences between them, and the effort it takes despite all the fun, living in a foreign country, in another language and meeting so many new friends, they have taken advantage of every moment and learned in a spectacular way.

You don’t have to miss the hype. The academic year begins shortly. We encourage you to share this experience with us. A school year, or a term, is a unique learning opportunity for all your children, young students and even adults and future professionals who want to learn and improve their English.

I am always on the other side of the phone. I’m always between Ireland and Spain, advising and above all accompanying each step of this Ireland Experience.
