This week, we’re excited to share the story of one of our students, who in addition to studying English in our immersion program, actively participates in the Under-18 Girls’ Football League in Cork. Now in 5th grade (equivalent to Year 12 or 1st of Bachillerato), our student proudly represents Avondale Football Club, a team known for its passion and teamwork on and off the field.
Sports are an amazing way to learn a language and integrate into local life, which is why Ireland Experience encourages all students to join extracurricular activities like this. Playing football in Ireland has not only helped her improve her English naturally but also make Irish friends and create lifelong memories. Every training session and match offers an opportunity to learn a new word, an idiom, or even understand local culture through her teammates.
We are so proud to see our students grow in various fields, knowing that every experience outside the classroom builds a stronger, more authentic English learning journey.
